Major research instrumentation and facilities

  • Agricultural products environment analysis instrumentation
    • LC-ICP-MSTotal arsenic and inorganic arsenic (3-valent, 5-valent) can be quantified for various environmental samples (water quality and soil) and fully support the analysis of the overall industry sample

    • ICP-MS It is used for element analysis in various fields such as environment, food, and semiconductor with the highest sensitivity and ease of use. Simultaneous analysis of multiple elements, automation of analysis and analysis of wide concentration range are possible in a short time.

    • GC-MS/MS It is chemical / organic compound analysis instrumentation and easy to qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic matters such as residual pesticides, preservatives, organophosphorus substances, fatty acids, phytosterols, TPH, benzopyrene, volatile organic compounds, etc.

    • LC-MS/MS It is drug and trace metabolite testing instrumentation and used to analyze and output result the mass of the substance by using test substances such as pesticides, preservatives, functional ingredients (Amino acids, Phenolic compounds, Ginsenosides, Anthocyanins)

    • Agricultural Environmental Analysis Instrumentation There are LC-MS(UPLC-QDa, Waters), LC(Ultimate 3000, Thermo), GC(Thermo 7890-FID), ICT-OES(iCAP 7400, Thermo), AAs(ContrAA300, Analytikijena), EA(CN628, LECO), Mercury Analyzer(M-7600, CETAC), CFA(Synca, BLTEC), CFA(QUAATRO, SEAL Analytical)

  • Genome analysis
    • Hiseq2500 mRNA-seq, smRNA-seq, Bisulfite-seq, Chip-seq It is possible to select the mode according to the purpose of the experimenter and analysis, storage and management of sequencing data through Web Cloud application (Base Space)

    • PacBio RSII Long Raw-data generation over 4000 bp on average, 250-300 Mb / 4hrs per 20kb SMRT cell, no PCR amplification process, uniform result without influence of GC content, simplification of genome assemble with low contig high efficiency

    • PacBio Sequel With single molecule real-time (SMRTTM) technology to directly utilize DNA molecules without amplification and minimizing errors, and 5-10Gb / cell (total 40Gb) data can be obtained compared to the existing data amount (1Gb / cell, total 8Gb) with low read-out length of 8kb or more with low cost and minimum time

    • BioMark HD system protein . Genetic expression analysis, SNP genotyping, digital PCR, accurate quantification of large sample volume, quantitative PCR and allelic specific PCR using Taqman probe, analysis, and reduction of reaction sample and reagent consumption

    • Other instrumentation for Genome Analysis Illumina Nextseq, Illumina Miseq, Illumina iScan, Quantstudio, PyroMark, Ion torrent-PGM, GeneAtlas Affymetrix, ABI3500 xL, ABI3730 xL

  • Green-Bio Research Facility Center
    • BD FACSCanto Ⅱ Flow cytometry analyzer to measure individual cell size, DNA content, or membrane antigen expression in a cell population

    • Leica CM1860 Instrumentation to cut specimens into pieces of uniformed thickness to make specimens for microscopic observation

    • TM3030Plus A high magnification three-dimensional scanning electron microscope which can achieve a wide range of focusing points with a contact depth twice as high as that of an optical microscope without being greatly limited by the thickness, size and preparation of the sample.

    • IVIS Lumina caliper By using the light of fluorescent laser, it is possible to detect a trace amount of luminescent fluorescent material reacting in the living body and accurately analyze the qualitative and quantitative results thereof

    • Leica TCS SP8 STED Instrumentation which can image ultra-high resolution(resolution 50 nm) with removing light that does not match the focus of the sample as well as function of a general confocal laser scanning microscope
